Spicy blackened Cajun steak served on a classic Caesar salad with crunchy homemade croutons and shaved parmesan. A bold twist on a timeless favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye steak
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 heads romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup croutons
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shaved
  • 1/4 cup Caesar dressing
  • 2 anchovy fillets, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Combine Cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl.
  2. Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the steak.
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat until smoking hot.
  4. Cook the steak for 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, creating a blackened crust.
  5. Remove steak and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
  6. In a large bowl, whisk together Caesar dressing, anchovies, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil.
  7. Add romaine lettuce to the bowl and toss with the dressing.
  8. Divide salad among plates, top with sliced steak, croutons, and parmesan.
  9. Serve immediately.
